Aviv Shapira is the founder of Replay and EXTEND. He is best known for his work in the sports-tech industry. He co-founded Replay Technologies, which invented a new volumetric video format used to broadcast major sports events around the world.
He and his brother, Matteo, won two Emmy awards for their contribution to the viewing experience, and in 2016 they sold Replay Technologies to Intel for $175 million. Since then, he has founded and sold multiple companies.
With a background in aerospace and over 10 years in the drone industry, Aviv is now combining his passion, expertise and hobbies in a new startup called XTEND. The company, in the field of Extended Reality, aims to give people the ability to fly (!) through an immersive experience involving drones.
