Avner Stepak is one of two principal shareholders of Meitav Dash, one of the largest asset management, brokerage, and credit companies in Israel. Avner was appointed CEO of the company in 2007 and held that position until January 2010. Under his leadership, Meitav Dash expanded both organically and through a series of M&As, becoming the second-largest investment house in Israel.
As part of his alternative investments, he identified and invested in eToro, an Israeli unicorn whose success predicted the rise of “social co-investing” and crypto-currency.
More recently, he has made a significant investment in Liquidity Capital Technologies, a company that uses proprietary underwriting algorithms to finance growth-stage tech companies and
acquired Lotus, an EU real-estate venture lender, with a portfolio of more than €130 million assets.
Avner also actively invests in fashion technology companies and serves as the Chairman of Zeekit. He founded the Incorporate Israel initiative (Esek Shaveh, in Hebrew), to help people with disabilities join the workforce of Israeli corporations. In his spare time, he enjoys figure skating and writes about the fashion industry.
